Self reflexivity

“In studying intercultural communication, it is vital to develop self reflexivity--to understand ourselves and our position in society. In learning about other cultures and cultural practices, we often learn much about ourselves.” (Martin; Nakayama, 2010) The younger generation of people who work for the High Fives Organization may not understand the hard work that goes into making enough money to invest. Learning more about the individual cultures of investors might help the directors of High Fives to more appropriately ask for funds as well as knowing what expectations the investors will have in the Organization.
